Bach's B-minor Mass - Choral Workshop
Oakland Symphony Chorus and numerous community members are working on a 5 week exploration of one of the great choral works, Johann Sebastian Bach's Mass in B-Minor.
Join us at 7:30 PM on Saturday, March 13, for a recital of this towering work at Oakland's stunning Cathedral of Christ the Light. The Oakland Symphony Chorus singers and workshop participants will be conducted by Lynne Morrow and Michael Morgan, and accompanied by instrumentalists from Magik Magik.

East Bay Performing Arts
OAKLAND, Calif., December 4, 2009—The Boards of Directors of Oakland East Bay Symphony (OEBS), Oakland Symphony Chorus (OSC) and Oakland Youth Orchestra (OYO) today announced their approval of a plan to form a new alliance called East Bay Performing Arts (EBPA). This new configuration will allow the organizations to increase the impact of their artistic and educational programs and bring music to more people. The 2009-10 season programming for these groups will not change as a result of this merger.

The Oakland Symphony Chorus is the East Bay's premier community resource for choral performance and learning. In addition to collaborating with the Oakland East Bay Symphony (OEBS) and other fine performing arts groups, we offer educational opportunities to the general singing community. Our season runs from September to May; rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings in Oakland's Rockridge district. Auditions are held throughout the year.
